Here we go

Since 2000 I've been travelling China. As a graduate student of Chinese I am especially interested in linguistic aspects. During the last five years I have frequently encountered one of the most fascinating aspect of Chinese translation culture: Chinglish, the result of an English dictionary meeting Chinese grammar. Since the latter is virtually nonexistent, signmakers face an abundance of possible translations. The following blog entries show some. Enjoy.
