Can you say what the signs really mean?
I recall back in the 1980's, when a book store in Nanjing opened for business, its entrance and exit doors were marked as Import and Export. Is this an international trading company? I thought we were here to buy books!
The last sign means that "climbing, carving and scribbling are all allowed".
many french people do not say english, they know it but do not say it
Hi, it's first time I visit your website, very interesting. May I have a suggestion? Everytime you found a Chinglish and put it to your blog, could you please also provide us the correct one? In this article, I don't know how to say "no recovery box" and "revocery box"? Is it "Bin" and "Recycle Bin"? Thanks!
lol
I agreed with what the message said, which was posted at 2:14 AM by anonymous. Very often, we don't know the correct version of the Chinglish in you blog. It's not your responsibility, but it would be nice that after visiting your blog people are not gonna make the same mistake in the future. It is not just simple thing of making of fun.
How to say "游人止步“?I think "no more steps" is not bad, hehe
"No more steps" is indeed not bad, it is at least more creative than what can be found in most Western countries where signs usually merely state "No entry" or "Do not enter" or so...
That is what I mean with "the beauty of Chinglish"...
Er...if I want to provide some pictures of Chinglish, how?
Thanks for your support!
Please send your files to [chinglish at olliradtke.de].
Best,
olr.
Ok,I just do something what I can to help your,I enjoy this blog.
a year till the big games and we still have morons putting up stupid signs up. apart from being embarrassing, it is also rude and will leave a negative image on all the visitors. i hope that the government will take notice and realize the potential damage these misunderstandings can cause.
"No more steps"
--I believe that makes sense.
其中一句大意如下:we are still having morons put up stupid signs.
Will you please prove to us you are not a moron by offering the authentic English translation of all the signs quoted at this site?
