Interestingly enough the Chinese portal site 6park.com - in accordance with Deutsche Welle? - used their text and added some of my Chinglish pictures without asking. They even copied the whole blog header ;). Have a look and compare.

Thank you for your attention to China,but its not a funny things to chinese.just image,if the kids read those,how will they be and what they will think when they get know the real meaning.so its a serious to the goverment

Hello, olr. You've got a really nice Chinese name. 3x for sharing those interesting pictures :-)
Now it is an emerging world, it is not usual to find that there are chinglish, singlish etc around. Not everyone can speak like native speakers, especially when eastern and western have such culture difference. However for a better understanding, it should be encouraged to speak and write in standard English.

hey, i was quite shocked at ur ultimate interest in chinglish,thats cool.im a chinese, but now studying in singapore.such a coincidence that i live in the same city as u do.which part of singapore r u living in?
one chinglish provided,好好学习，天天向上 is ‘good good study，day day up’ in chinglish and is ‘study hard and make progress every day' in proper english.

oh..i'm a Malaysian, i speak Manglish.. ever heard of it? it is closed to Singaporean's Singlish,wuth slightly different. haha, anyway the majority of manglish is influenced by chinese loghat - Hokkien and Cantonese from Hokkien and Canton province since most of our ancestors originated there.

Hi, I saw an article about your blog online and thought I should stop by. Those pictures are so fun (funny). I couldn't help wondering, I've seen these chinglish sign millions of times in shanghai too, how come I never thought of setting up a website like this.:P
Anyway, your site reminded me that I once took a pic of a menu in a chinese restaurant. They have a dish called "man and wife lung slice" If you are interested in posting the pic here, drop me a line at gelingyi@hotmail.com

Where exactly are you from? This might be a stupid question of mine...
Well, I'm sorry to say and sadly admit that copying is part of the Chinese and Taiwanese culture. Most people think it's "okay" and "normal" to copy. Two years ago, I found out someone copied my entire entry from my blog and reposted it under her name. I was furious, of course, so I made a really big deal out of it by posting several enteries to express my anger towards that girl and describe it as an unacceptable and personal issue. When 50% of the readers, who were all Taiwanese, agreed with me, the other 50% thought I was totally overreacting and behaving crazy. That-- is an example and reflection for our culture, unfortunately.
So are you going to start marking all your photos with your signature or link from now on? Maybe you should.

I am sorry that you've been a victim of this kind of thinking. I think all bloggers face this problem and it demands a lot of patience dealing with it.
Of course, I have already pondered on the copyright problem, nevertheless I still believe in people respecting other people's work as naive as it might seem nowadays.
Besides, the pictures are too small to be used otherwise.
Furthermore, I think, readers of my blog - and not reporter colleagues with a questionable attitude - need a certain sensibility for all things linguistic, a certain type of humour which, I think, does not blend well with the way of thinking you need for stealing other people's content.
